Master’s Degree in Urban Studies (El Colegio de México) and bachelor’s degree in International Relations (National Autonomous University of Mexico), with a diploma in Disasters and Climate Change from the Dr. José María Luis Mora Research Institute. She has publications on cities, urban planning, environmental policy and climate change. From 2011 to 2013, collaborated in several projects with researchers from El Colegio de México and later, she served as an urban planning head for ICLEI- Local Governments for Sustainability.
From 2015 to 2018, she worked as independent consultant for the United Nations Development Program (UNDP-Mexico), Local & Global Ideas, S.C and Fundar- Analysis and Research Center A.C , in topics of cities and climate change, tourism and climate change and citizen participation and transparency in megaprojects, respectively.
Nowadays, she works in the Undersecretary of Urban Development and Housing as Head or Microregions Unit, in which leads the inter-institutional coordination of the Urban Improvement Program.
