Robert Kehew

Unit Leader For The Climate Change Planning Unit, UN- Habitat

Robert Kehew serves as Unit Leader for the Climate Change Planning Unit of UN-Habitat. He coordinates the agency’s Cities and Climate Change Initiative, and represents UN-Habitat in the governance bodies of the Compact of Mayors and the Cities Climate Finance Leadership Alliance. He coordinated development of Guiding Principles for City Climate Action Planning through a multi-stakeholder process; these Guiding Principles were launched at COP-21 with 45 endorsing partners. Prior to joining UN-Habitat, Mr. Kehew held senior positions with several US-based consulting firms. He carried out assignments in the areas of urban planning, municipal development and municipal finance, with assignments in more than 20 developing countries and in the US. He holds a Masters of Public Policy degree from Harvard University.
